From the recording Moments
I was "in the zone" when I wrote "The Awakening." It is unlike any solo piano music that I've heard before and I hope it will become one of your favorites. This song was recorded in one take after a prior version was decided to not have the feel I wanted. After writing this song, I realized that "Moments" was coming together finally. This song was written in the winter of 2009.
